An excessive heat watch has been issued by the Phoenix Office of the National Weather Service beginning on 06-07-2019 for the Phoenix area through next Friday.
The Phoenix area and other lower elevation desert locations will warm into the 105°-108° range by Monday and into the 109-111° range for Tuesday and Wednesday. An Excessive Heat Watch is now in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures are forecast to begin cooling slightly late next week
If you are planning outside activities this week like Drill, PT, Sporting activities,working, etc.; please consider postponing them or relocating them indoors; also avoid wearing tight fitting clothing, instead light colored loose fitting clothing is better.
Refer to CAPR 62-1 attachment 3 for suggested exposure limitations.
Remember to pre-hydrate and maintain hydration, limit exposure to the Sun, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities. Monitor NOAA Weather Radio, Mobile Emergency Alerts on your mobile device, or Television and Radio for updated information.
